No one who played on the song will be there.

Good luck on that one!

No matter how many times I try to tell people to give the engineer the first shot at mixing the song by themselves and THEN adjusting things afterwards they almost never listen.

The second guy is the my partner on this studio.

get a 24 channel board and the motu 24I/O and switch to mac. J/K about the mac part I'm just partial. There are some very powerful alternatives to pro tools hd that are not quite as expensive and way more bang for the buck. As far as pricing goes it's totally dependant on your community. I am a $40/ hour studio and the next closest to me is 80 then 150. Good luck!! :D

Well I would buy a Mac but me and my partner in Crime (always wanted to say that) decided not to buy a Mac because of the fact that they are in partners with Intel and are going redesign the Mac completely. That means that a lot of things will not be compatiable with the Mac anymore. So we don't want to risk it.

Having two people there while your mixing is a bad idea. Trust me. I had a "partner" a few years ago. He just kinda sat around and I did everything. Then he'd fuck up the tracks "mixing" them and I'd want to kill him.
