Hey all
I started building these absorbers from Jeff Strong's website someone linked to earlier this week -- http://www.jeffstrong.com/gobos.html

I basically decided to make these and get a little more experience with a saw (and dust off the cobwebs, its been 5 years since I did any woodwork) before doing anything bigger such as Basstraps and clouds and all that other stuff everyone has suggested
Anyway, anyone have ideas how to hang these up on my walls? I know I'll need to find the studs in the walls and attach to those, but what kind of bolts should I use. Lagbolt? Long nails? Also, about what height should I mount them? Are they of any use to mount where the ceiling and wall meet and put them on an angle?
Thanks :)

I don't know if you can see them very good in these pictures [http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=147416] but I made some 2x4 absorbers with a wooden frame, OC 703, with no backs on them at all. I hang them with a wire just like you would a picture. You can put some spacers behind the bottom of the frame so they won't lie flat against the wall. Have fun, woodworking skills are not mandatory.

Don't plan on finding a stud. The panels should go where they need to go regardless of if there's a stud or not. Most times there won't be.

Toggle bolts work great. French cleats work great.

put them on stands maybe? you can tweak the room with their mobility and also have them a few inches from the wall.
