Hello. I have a small home studio.
Usually i record only voices; for years i have been using a B1 behringer with a mic2200 pre (also from behringer). I record to the computer using a Marc 8 (from Marian). Usually i recort at 24 bits/44.1KHz
Recently i bought a tbone sct 800.
I record in a fairly large room with acoustic conditions.
I would like to start recording a drum. You have seen the hardware i have been using.
What would you suggest me to use as microphone kit?
I was looking at some of the tbone kits...
Another question, obviously related... What should i use to pre those mics?
I have a yamaha MG 166CX. I could use the pres of the mixer and send the signal to the audio card but i am not sure.
Any light and suggestions would be welcomed.

Can't go wrong with a Shure Beta 52 for kick and a 57 on snare.
My other favorite is an Audix D6 on kick.

The Sennheiser MD421 can do wonderful things on any drum.

For room mics and overheads there are way too many options to list without really thinking about it.
