Anyone heard of a scsi or other microcontroller that will do a 44hz a/d
conversion and just burn away at cds?
I'd like to take my CDW out of the system
for portable recordings using such a device,
preferrably SCSI..
then extract the cd's made back into the computer later, and edit it down..
I don't want to lug an entire computer,
and it seems like audio could be converted
w a microprocessor into a cd-w compatible
format in a buffered write mode??
So all you'd have to lug is the case with
the cd burner and cd's to change every 70
minutes..
Capable of: either analog or patch cable
digital from a dat (daisy chained)
so I could _passively_ mooch someone's better
microphone setup..
Or am I in the not-yet category??
My nearest, cheapest solution is to have a
Umax mac clone ($79 w/o processor) set up
to automatically record (44hz) to a cd whenever one is put in.. but I'd like to simplify it into a more portable and direct solution.. while still remaining in budget..
Well, thanks for any help.. I haven't dug into the archives here much, my answer may
lay within the messages.. so if you've seen it before here, I may find it later, but thanks..
