Standalone CD-Burner

What would be the best kind of standalone cd-burner that i could hook my tascam 414 portastudio to for mastering? preferably under $300...

is there really a sound difference between the really expensive ones and the cheaper, philips ones?

Why would you worry about the sound quality of a CD burner at this point?

For cleaner sounding tape hiss?

If you plan to move up to a 788 (now going for $800) you'll need the Tascam burner, otherwise get a plextor.
