Stacking Multiple Delta Cards

I have a Delta 410, can I also get a Delta 44 or 66 and just kinda stack it so I have all those Ins/outs simultaneously? If it is possible, which one would be my main sound card for regular Windows sounds and Winamp? Have any of you done this?

hmm

ive heard you can, but ive also heard the use of a word clock might be nessisary. Not sure exactly what that does but i know its pricey.

Yep, there's a multiple card synch option right in the Delta control panel. You'll also notice a "H/W Installed" box on the right side of the panel listing each Delta card you're running (e.g. the single control panel interface controls multiple cards).

You'd specify which pair of outputs you'd like as the Windows Default in the Sounds and Multimedia Windows control panel item.

How well it'll all work in practice, however, I'm not sure.

M-audio told me that you need the Delta66 for multi card use. They said Delta 44 won't work. Try giving them a call to make sure.

Probably because you need to use the digital i/o to sync them.

That's exactly what they said. That was like a year ago anyways. I sold my delta44 and bought a MOTU 24i. Works for me.
