Hi Y'all,
I am considering dumping my old Guillemot ISIS and was reviewing a bit the market for a new sound card. Today my eye fell on the DSP24 series of cards, and the System III got my attention.
I'm looking for a card in the 8 I/O category, preferably with some preamps, thus not needing an additional €/$ 500 for a small B.. mixer. I already had a look at Aardvark Q10 (problems in the driver department), Delta 1010 (no preamps), the Echo line of cards (seem noisy of what I heard).
Anyone out there with experience ??
Also I heard about a System 3000 going to replace the 2000 and the System III, but I can't find any info on that.
I found a SystemIII on BayViewProAudio.Com going for $880, which is enough, but it seems worth the dough though.
