How in the world can I make this combo easier?????

Unless I start the drums and let them play, then, cut in with the bass or rhythm guitar the timing is forever screwed!
And then I just fade out that begining drum part until I want the drums. But then that kills any drum intro I may have wanted etc...

THere just HAS to be an easier way to get it all to simply "jive" as far as timing.

So it seems that the drums ALWAYS have to be first! OR just eliminate the drums all together! Which sucks.

Sometimes I'll have a great little tune with guitar and vocals and want to just put some light drums in etc... this is impossible to me. But there has to be a way right???

Suggestions?????????????????

thanks,
Matt

One thing you might try is to lay in 4 chords on your guitar and then hit the start button on your drum machine while the final chord is reverberating.

Another thing you might try is to put in 3/4 bass drum beats and program the drum track. The three/four bass drum beats might be the lead in to the drum track; thus, when you count them off, you pop right in with your guitar as the drum patch begins.

You might miss a couple of times but just back up and do it again until you hit it right on the beat.
