Hi all. I purchased a CM Labs MotorMate on ebay about a year back and love it. The thing is rock solid and does everything I need. Now, I'm looking at expanding to more faders. I know I can add up to 3 MotorMix units for use in my Pro Tools LE system. The problem I'm having is trying to spot the difference between the original MotorMix and the newer MotorMix 2.

The original was introduced in the late 90s and the newer around 2004-2005 when the MotorMate came out. I want the newer ones because those have touch-sensitive faders like my MotorMate. I think it would be weird, not to mention inconvenient, to have only one set of touch faders.

From what I can tell from pictures on the net of the devices, some MotorMix units have either pointed or flat tipped rotary pots, the "CM" logo is either on the left or right side of the display, and the "MotorMix" logo is either dead center or off to the left with "Digital Mixer Workstation" printed on the right. Despite these differences, I cannot find any documentation on which details belong to which model. Also, several attempts to contact CM Labs have been unanswered.

If anyone here has these units or is familiar with them I'd like to know which type you have and which of the details above is associated with your unit. That way I can buy in somewhat confidence. Thanks.
