dyuob - :D :D :D

Bill - sadly can't get the blanket idea past the Superintendent of Living Room Aesthetics:) Nice pic. Anybody else?

Billsa,... Anyway, only a teen or 20-something would have use for drop-D tuning.

Ever think about that?;)

My studio is too small to photograph. there's not enough room to step back and get more than just about 1/10th of it. It's a chair that swivels so I can reach what's surrounding it, can't roll it. All is an arm's reach away....

Well, here's the door anyway, spot the Fostex. -j

jun - what you need is a camera with a VST "periscope" plug-in :)

Don't think I could work with Austin Powers' ugly mug grinning at me.

Where I have the lamp, and where I sit, his face is totally in the glare, but the chicks are fully visible. :)

What kind of room is that? We're house hunting and I'm always on the look out for some hidden chamber where I won't get the s### scared out of me when someone sneaks up from behind while recording...

(We found a place a fully equiped little shack out back, but the neighborhood was vetoed...)

I'm lucky, there was an unfinished basement here, where I rent at my parent's house, and over the years, they took some space here and there for an office, or a closet, or a book shef, or a workshop, and this one tiny space was available and we put in studs covered with 2 sheets of drywall for some sound insulation, and there's actually one unfinished spot left and it's filled w/ junk and shelves, just outside the door here. we even ran a separate circuit into the box. It's like 8x10 feet or so and 6'2" high. Basically a box. I've had to put a filing cabinet out the door here and it's still cramped to the max. I pretty much stay in here most of the time, but I get recording done and my computers are in here, it can get heated up w/ all the transformers and stuff, so i end up w/ the door open anyway....

I do get scared all the time when sneaked up upon, then I yell if I'm recording, and if the phone rings, etc. or if my girlfriend comes in, well, that's ok....

Garry Sharp:

Is the Aluminum toolbox for the GNX? Ain't that some great financial serendipity!

P.S.: Don't ever let the weight of the GNX rest on that volume pot on the back---easily damaged ($60 factory repair).

Box is for cables and mics. Good point re the GNX - I'll mention it to our guitarist, whose pedal it is (now I've sold it to him:) :) )

i just realized you can now spot my fostex just under my guitar neck in my new avatar
