The Korg D16 has 8 mic pre's, of which 2 have XLR-connectors. The other have balanced jack TRS-inputs. No phantompower though.
I would personally forget the F1 as well, as it has no direct outs. The SX has, 8, and it has 12 mic pre's.
How would I connect a small Mackie (1202, 1402) to my Korg, through the inserts? Like, using the inserts as direct outs?
Anyway, yes I do want to record rock music, I also want to keep my signalpath on the short side. Mic-Mackie or Spirit mixer-RNC-Korg D16 is a bit longer than Mic-Meek-Korg D16.
BTW, I would buy the Composer more for its peak limiting capabilities, it seems to do a nice job there.
