Spirit Mixer

I have an old friend from home who has offered me his Soundcraft E 12 Spirit Mixer for $250. It's a couple years old; not entirely sure how old, but I think he got it in 2000. Is this a good price? Are Spirit Mixers good? I don't really know much about them, I just thought it would at least be worth looking into since I need a mixer.

Here's a link to soundcraft that has some info on the E12 and a link to it's manual.
(Not sure if it'll help much, but in the analog section of this bbs I have a thread with some general questions pertaining to the use of the E series in conjunction with a multi-track machine.)

I've never actually used the E12 but I have a Spirit Folio. It's sort of a smaller - older version that was replaced by the E Series.

I like mine alot. It wasn't too expensive, does the job and sounds half decent. From what I've heard, the E series is pretty good too.

I would check out Ebay and see what they're going for and see if his price stacks up.
