Hello everyone,
I need some help wiring my mixer to one of my Computer inputs.
Since I`m new to all that connections stuff, I`having throuble understanding how to connect my balanced pre fader aux outputs to one of my unbalanced inputs on my PC.
- The AUX output on the mixer is a balanced 1/4 (stereo) jack, and the inputs on my PC are two mono RCA.
When I Connect the balanced AUX1 output (1/4 stereo jack), to two mono inputs (2 x RCA) on my pc, i get no sound at one mono channel.
...well, in this case, instead of a 1/4 stereo jack, connected to 2 x RCA; i could use a 1/4 mono jack from the balanced AUX1 to 1 x RCA, an feed just one mono channel on my PC inputs , and than add another 1/4 mono jack plugged to a balanced AUX2 an connect it to the second mono RCA input on my PC ...?
Of course, I am aware that the signal coming out of the AUX will be unbalanced at this point, but does it matter for non professional use ?
So to make it simple:
Is it OK to plug a 1/4 mono jack into a balanced aux output of the mixer, or it is mandatory to use stereo jacks ???
