Speck 5.0 vs API 3124

I really want a Speck 5.0, but I need at least 2 channels, so 2 questions here:

It's possible for me to spend a lot more and get an API 3124, but I question whether it's a good investment, or if that extra $1625 would be better spend elsewhere. So if in this position, would you shell out the money and stretch your self a bit, or just get a couple Speck 5.0s or something?

Also, if I got the Speck 5.0, anyone know a way I can rackmount them? Is there a divider or something like is made for the Portico's?

The speck is good with lots of options, but the 3124 is awesome in comparison soundwise.
 
Thanks big kenny. I think that may be a bit too much, for that price I'd rather just get the API. So Blue, you think there's little comparison between the two? Might I ask what you like or don't like?

It's hard to describe. The Speck is clean, but the Api has a good colored sound. If you get them from Mercenary, they will let you try both, and they'll charge you for what you don't send back.
 
OK, I thought the Speck 5.0 would be very clean. Lately that is what has been pushing me towards the API's because I have pretty transparent Onyx pres now, so I figured some color could work best.
