Hey guys,
My old MacBook Pro is on its death bed. $1300-2000 to spend.

Do i want the 13" spec'd up, duo core 2.8Ghz.
Or an entry level 15" quad core 2.2?

Not stressed with screen size.

Using the latest version of logic, and mostly an apogee duet interface.
Audio and midi. Lots of tracks per song.

Also, has anyone had any issues with getting a refurbished macbook and using it for audio?

Thanks,
Josh

Hi John,
I can't really comment on dual vs quad other than to say I've mixed some heavy sessions on my i5 2.3ghz (2 core) 13" MBP.
I do have SSD hard drives and 16gb ram though, so take that into consideration.

I bought it refurbished from apple and would highly recommend doing so to others.
I think I saved about £150 at the time and other than the outer packaging being generic, I really wouldn't have known the difference.
As far as I know recon standards are the same as retail so if something was marked or whatever, they'd have replaced it during inspections. :)

It came with the full applecare warranty and I had zero problems the only time I had to use that.
Hope that's useful.
