My Tele is a Fender Standard, and I'm kinda wondering what Lipsticks might do for it, aside from making it sound kinda sorta like a Danelectro? I don't necessarily want to lose the twang that the Tele's known for, but I figured it could sound a bit better with something other than what Fender's Mexican production line put in 'em, and I haven't quite ruled put better Fender pickups.

I've got GFS Lipsticks for my Squier Standard Fat Telecaster, but haven't gotten around to swappin' 'em in, yet, until I get me a Strat-style 5-way switch, so I can coil tap the humbucker. If I happen to not like the sound with the GFS Lipsticks, at least they were cheap enough (for a guitar that I'd bought new 6 years ago) it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I end up spending more for something different/better. I went with the Lipsticks, initially, 'cause I'm more curious as to how a humbucker Lipstick would sound when playing through both the bridge single coil and (untapped) neck humbucker.
