I have a very serious question to ask:

What is the cheapest (or rather the best Affordable) SP/DIF card available?
I don't need it to be able to do anything else!
Just to be able to get Audio from my Tascam DA-302 Dual Well DAT machine, into the PC in Digital.
I've been just lining in to my PCI-128 SB card, but I don't want to go that route anymore...
Any Suggestions?

I'm not interested in actually Mixing on the PC-I like the good old Mixing board and knobs-so I'm not interested in TDIF cards for the DA-38's.

I'm Just interested in getting the stereo source into the PC in Digital.

This is for me to be able to Burn CD's without any kind of hum to them.

Lemmee think here...

Aardvark has a cheapy, check thier website.. www.aardvark-pro.com also check the Delta cards, they have one with nothing more than S/pdif too. I'd go with aardvark, cause most of thier cards are shielded.
