hey guys i just registered today basically for one reason and that is to find out about a piece of equipment i just picked up...

sadly i got this piece of equipment(i keep calling it a piece of equipment because frankly i have no idea what it is) through the death of one of my parents' close friends. His wife knew i played guitar and said to look in his recording studio and take whatever i wanted, so i found this laying on the ground and took it along with some random other things (mic stands guitar stands blah blah) and typed it in on ebay and found a soundtracs megas and topaz going for like 3-4000 bucks. i love playing guitar but have no interest in making money from music. i plan to sell this on ebay and need information on it :)

any posts are greatly appreciated and i plan on posting pics...thanks :D

I'm *pretty sure* that the Solo came in a few different flavors - Can you post a photo or count how many faders there are for us? Also if it says anything else on it (such as "LOGIC").

The larger model, if I'm not mistaken, was a 32x8x2 - 32 faders, feeding 8 groups (more faders) feeding a stereo fader or set of 2 faders.

I think they made a smaller (16x4x2?) live version also...

Keep in mind that this is just "I think" type info...

I should try Google...

Yup - there's some stuff - CLICK HERE FOR MORE

It just says Solo, serial # 466035 model # 32-8-2. Here are some pics...

Thanks for your help!

You have a standard Soundtracs Solo with out meter bridge. Actually a very nice sounding console. The other options on this board were a meter bridge and the "MIDI" and "Logic" versions had expanded midi and automation capabilites.

If it is in good shape you will probably get around $600-800 for it. Its a great board for the money. It will blow a mackie out of the water.
