Ok peeps, i've just found this website and hope someone can help! I rent a studio space with my partners in crime but about a month ago I decided I wanted a little setup at home to write and record impromptu vocal sessions!! I've got a huge bedroom with alot of spare space. and I've just invested in a fat p.c with a nice soundcard, a pair of Genelec monitors, a DBX vacuum tube channel strip with digital spdif out and a nice Rode mic. All I need now is to sort out the accoustics and build a (hopefully portable!!) recording booth. Anyone got any ideas?? Oh yeah, I'm on a seriously low budget!

Go to an office supply store and purchase some office partition walls with stand alone feet.mine are 6 feet tall 4 feet wide and about 2.5 inches thick covered in acoustic fabric. You can design your booth as large or as small as you want and move them around to isolate drums, amps, etc. you can get them for about $40 each used.
Good Luck,
Screamin' Dave
