i'm just about to move into a new house and i'm going to use the garage as a studio. i'm going to use the absorbers and bass traps that i have in my current smaller studio and i don't want to do any major construction work as i'm only going to be at the property for a year.

the walls are made of brick and the floor is concrete so it's gonna be a lively room. therefore, i'll maybe put a rug on the floor and use the absorbers i mentioned before to take away some of the high frequencies.

the main problem for me is how to soundproof the main garage door. i figure that this is where most of the noise will escape from so i need to soundproof it at least a bit.

i've added some designs of how i think the studio might look and if anyone has any suggestions on where i could improve the layout and how i can soundproof the door i'll be most gratefull,

thanks

Seals round the door? A heavier door?

i'm not looking to do anything which costs to much as i'm not living there for long so i'm looking in to ways of sealing the edges so that i can easily remove it when i move. i was thinking of buying a piece of wood the size of the door and placing it against the inside of the garage. i'd probably fill the space in between the door and the wood with fibreglass. then i'd seel the wood to the inside walls. can anyone suggest a way of seeling the edges to the brick

thanks

What i actually meant was just standard door seals. Like to stop draughts etc. I don't really know how much isolation you need, but sealing the doors will always help.
