ive heard that the soundelux u195 is a great mic that sounds like the u 87 ....

I like mine. It DOES not sound like a U87. The U87 is definitely smoother, especially in the mids, but is sometimes boring. The u195 has a little more character but is very sibilant, and theres a scoop at around 4-6k that I end up boosting slightly a lot of the time.
A u87 is a better all around mic IMO.
