Any downside to the M Series Soundcraft Spirit mixers?
I'm thinking about the M12, which is the largest model. It has direct outs, giving me the ability to do multi-track recording. It appears to have high quality mic preamps, and gets favorable nods in this forum. It also has the ability to drive multiple power amps and speaker systems.
The intended use is live performance mixing/recording, and modest home studio recording. Mics will most likely be SM57, SM58, ATM25, and perhaps MD421 or ?? for cymbals.
Other than 12 channels, what are the downside(s) to this mixer?
