Soundcraft folio sx vs. mackie 1604

Hi there.
I need some advice regarding the difference between these 2 mixers. In my part of the world, the mackie is priced the double of Soundcraft. I`m recording 8 tracks recording, and I need a new mixer, but I cant figure out if I could do with the Soundcraft? Is the pre-amps better than Mackies? What about noise and crossover? what about routing ?I really hope somebody can help me out.

If you're recording only 8 tracks, you're probably best served with the Soundcraft. The Mackie's alright, but if the SC's that much cheaper, you may as well go with that.
