Does anyone have any experience with the Soundcraft E-series mixers? I've been shopping for a small mixer for a home studio for a while now, and I've been searching for something better than the Behringer stuff, but cheaper than Mackie without rolling the dice with eBay. I'm using a Samson Mixpad 4 now, which only puts out 18V of phantom power and is generally poop.

The Soundcraft E6 has much nicer specs than similar Behringers, and Soundcraft seems to have a much better reputation, but they don't seem to be too popular (at least in the low-end market).

Thanks.

They arent as popular because Guitar Center and Musicians Friend don't sell Soundcraft. If they did, there would be alot more of them out there.

Musiciansfriend does sell the Soundcraft E series mixers and Samash sells the M12. The actual stores do not sell them.

Has anyone used them? They seem to have better specs, but I don't know if that always translates into a better sounding mixer. I guess it doesn't matter much in this price range.

Still too new I think. Google might have some better answers. Or better yet, buy one and send your review to Tape Op for the rest of us. :)
