Do the compact series have Soundcraft UltraMic Preamps ?

ok, Did read the preamp specs of the soundcraft mixers and saw that most specs are nearly identical but the compact have less headroom ( +16dBu ). ( UltraMic Preamps have +22dBu Headroom ).

This might be due to the power supply. If the mixer doesn't have the same power going to it, the headroom will be affected. It could be the same circuit.

In general, specs don't tell you much. Sound is what is important.

I really don't look at specs. There are too may ways to manipulate them. I just listen to the equipment and choose from there.
