Soundcloud and Bandcamp audio quality poor...anyone find the same?

I finished an EP recently, and uploaded it to Soundcloud and Bandcamp. I got a bit of a shock when I heard how they were coded in - it was as if all my mixing and mastering work was for naught (well, I guess not quite). The tracks I uploaded were 24bit, 44.1kHz wav files, so decent quality.

Anyone have these sorts of issues before? I know MySpace was infamous for a while for this, but I thought at least Bandcamp might be better. There was one particularly offending track, which has a warbling intro guitar.

Here's the mp3 on my website (which sounds fine):

Then the Soundcloud:

Empty Streets by Stereo Zoo on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free

The Bandcamp:

Empty Streets | Stereo Zoo

I'm kindof at a loss...I just feel bad because I want listeners to have the best audio experience possible.

Also, yeah, I finished an EP! The full recording is linked below, so let me know what you think:

Is there any chance these services stream a certain quality depending on your internet connection speed?
I've never noticed any problem with bandcamp or soundcloud.

I used both for the last decent production I did. It's in my sig (Pete Gardiner).

Soundcloud is maximum 128Kps so the quality is pretty low. I laugh though because when I was growing up we used to listen to scratchy 45's on one of those cheap record players with one 2 inch speaker and we loved it. Remember putting a quarter on the arm so the needle wouldn't jump out of the groove. Not much different nowadays with mp3 and crappy earbuds. Only us producers care about the quality....

I don't have a complaint with the sound quality on Soundcloud or Bandcamp. I know they're reduced during the upload, but as long as someone can purchase my album in the highest quality they can, then I think there's no big deal. And people who have the final product are satisfied. My tracks on Youtube sound awful compared to Soundcloud/Bandcamp, but it is what it is.

Hell, I upload everything onto my Reverbnation in 192k (or 128k, depending). That's mainly because of size constraints, and the fact that a lot of my tracks are pretty lengthy. But I don't mind because like I said - what they download on their end is high quality audio.
