i record midi tracks from keyboard and vocal tracks. i want to reduce hissing for audio tracks. how is the audiophile(24/96) soundcard?

It usually gets a thumbs up. I dont think it has a mic preamp though so you will still need a pre or a mixer for your mic. But I could be wrong.
 
thanks. i have a mackie 1202 vlz with preamps. i just wanna eliminate the hissing for audio.
 
Then you should be all set. As long as your hiss isnt caused by bad gain staging when you use the mixer.
 
I have the audiophile, which is audio midi combined which allowed me to remove my SB, and it does a fine job.....
NO COMPLAINTS HERE
