I want to switch over to do computer recording but the soundcard I currently have installed in my computer is a piece of shit. I am looking for a new soundcard under $100 US dollars that would be good for doing recordings on the PC. I've looked around and haven't found anything really. I saw a soundcard called Soundblaster Live! which was pretty cheap but from the looks at all the other posts i've read in this forum, I guess this sound card doesn't make the grade for computer recording. Your help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

The Live! is in fact the best card on your budget

You might want to read the thread "Get a Real Freakin Soundcard" in this forum however....

Guitar Satan's last flyer had Cubasis sequencer bundled with some 20 bit sound card for $99. Sounds like a pretty good deal, as Cubasis normally sells for $79 by itself. And 20 bits is mucho better than 16 bits.

Yeah Ice,

Ive got to agree with Slack, and we have got to be two of the cheapest bastards around here...if your budget is only $100 dollars then hold off a little bit and save a few more dollars...you wont be moving up that much in quality with that SB Live.....but going to $149 for the Delta Audiophile or $199 for the Delta 44 brings up into another league of cards....the difference will be night and day, not just night and just about night.....check out that link Slack referred to...check out Guitar Center for that card tdukex referred to....

We just might be saving you some money and time and hair pulling.....
