The Midiman Audiophile will eliminate the hiss in my recordings? I will use a Yamaha MD4 recorder connected to the sound card. i'm not sure about buying that card.. i have right now a sb live 5.1 oem.. give me your opinion. .thanks!

Buy the card, it will be a huge improvement.

The hiss is probably from the MD4.

The audiophile will still be an improvement however, especially if you can go SPDIF out of the MD4. Do you need the minidisc unit, or are you just using it for preamps?
