Hello everyone,

didn't know where to post that,as I'm new here.Well I'm interested in bying a new soundcard for my pc since what I got is no good for making music.I use Cubase ,Reason and stuff and I also record guitar.So, according to these simple requirements ,which card you you suggest me buy? I t would be better if it is affordable too,not that I'm asking miracles with cheap cards.
 
If you think you'll be using MIDI as well as recording digital audio, I recommend the new Soundblaster Audigy Value $59. It has awesome soundfont capability, a great sampler, and those who have used it claim it does a pretty good job of recording digital audio. But if you only want to record digital audio, I recommend the M-Audio Audiophile $179. This is a very high quality entry level 24 bit card that many people here use and like. If you want multiple inputs, step up to the Delta 44 or 66.

The best of both worlds is to have both cards, the Audigy for MIDI and the Audiophile for digital audio, but if you are on a budget I believe the Audigy Value can't be beat for the price. Just don't get suckered into buying one of the more expensive Audigy cards. They come packed with extras you don't need but the card is exactly the same.
