soundcard with many channels

Hi,
I'm quite confused in something. I'm trying to connect reason 3 with protools via rewire but I have a stereo soundcard with only 2 channels. I presume it is possible to get a soundcard with more channels than this as reason allows up to 64 channels?

you're trying to do "virtual" connections with reason and pro tools. there's no need for more "real" inputs/outputs to do what you want to do. it's a matter of configuring reason properly.

Once you get beyond 2 channels, soundcards are pretty much reffered to as an "Audio Interface". Thats what people are talking about when you see that posted here. Hope that helps your search...
