Does a soundcard have to be full duplex to inport a .wav file, edit it and export it to a CD burner (internal or externa)?
The deal is, I've got a pc with one of those "everything is a chip integrated onto the motherboard" motherboards. Bottom line, the soundcard is a chip that supposedly does full duplex but its DARNED difficult to get the thing to do it. I failed MISERABLY when I tried to use a phone program.
Also, I only have one PCI expansion slot and one only of the others (ISA, right?).
SOOooooo, I want to buy a VF 16 (Fostex) and edit and burn off of the PC (before you ask, I've weighed all the options and for what I'll be doing recording wise, I need a portable unit!). So what would I need to do to make the PC work for this?
And of course, I am NOT going to pay a lot for this Muffler!
