Sorry, the heading should really be, Soundcard Driver Re-installing. Can't figure out how to change it, so here we go...
Whenever I try to re-install my soundcard drivers in NT, I first delete the driver in the multimedia section under audio devices. I also delete the files that pertain to the drivers in my file system (I think I am getting them all).
When I do attempt to re-install the updated drivers, I always get the message that the drivers are already being used, but I thought I just deleted them. So I'm not sure if I am installing new drivers or if the computer is just using the old drivers. I also have win 98 soundcard drivers on a different disk drive. Could this be giving me conflicts?
I never know if I am installing the new drivers or not.
Could anyone explain why, after I deleted the drivers, that it tells me I still have them when I try to install new ones?
Thanks
