soundcard question

Hi,

I currently have an maudo delta 2496 card. I'm wondering if the new x-fi creative card has finally become a legitamate option now that it has the 24 bit capabilities. I guess I'm thinking it would be nice to have one card that performs equally well at home recording and game/home theater playback.

personally, I think creative stuff should just stay gaming, and theater. Their stuff isn't what I would use for recording purposes. When the Audigy's came out, they were 24bit too, and I've tried them back then before I had enough money to get some equipment... and it served decent I guess, but not what I was looking for. You should stick with your 24/96 and if you want, get the creative, and use it only for theater stuff.
