Soundcard opinions please

I want to buy a new soundcard so I can run Cubase VST , mainly for midi in and out . I also am aware that there are many latency problems to watch out for as I have tried running it with a cheapo basic sound card .
Can anyone give opinions on these two cards :

Soundblaster Audigy 2 SB2ZS (cheapest)

Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro (lot more expensive)

Your views would be appreciated .

I would say get an M-Audio Audiophile 2496. Excellent Latency and performance, midi and audio, beats the pants off SoundDisaster.
