Ok, dumb question, but I gotta ask it anyway.

If your recording with a RODE NTK

No instrumentals being used, soly for the purpose of vocalism, directly into your Pc ( with the possibility of a preamp ex ext which doesn't really have anything to do with the question.)

What would be a reasonable soundcard, or a soundcard that would give me the top preformance for such a microphone, without getting to pricey?

Also on a sidenote question, would a eurorack-preamp be a good choice for a preamp for the Rode or am I undermining the rode by purchasing it.

with that quality of microphone i would suggest a rane ms1b mic pre into a delta sound card. if you can afford a great river mic preamp - i would look at that as well as an fmr really nice preamp.
lower cost you might consider a vtb1 preamp.
just search this bbs for many posts on this subject.
if you need a nice multitrack recording software that does 48 tracks. try the demo of powertracks at pgmusic.com. you wont be disappointed. in fact youll be really surprised. talk to pg forum users if you think i'm lying.

Top preformance requires great equipment and good preamps, soundcards, and etc are a little pricey.
