Soundcard Help!!

I HAVE A SOUNDMAX DIGITAL AUDIO SOUNDCARD I THINK..

IS THIS GOOD AND WAT CAN I DO WITH IT?..

MY AIM IS 2 RAP OVER INSTRUMENTALS AFTER I FIND THE RIGHT FREE SOFTWARE 2 USE IT WITH..

PLZ HELP..

...sounds like a basic consumer level sound card. You're not gonna get great results out of it, but it will work.

You need a multi-track recording program. I'd recommend buying a cheap recording package if you don't have the dough for a good one. N-Track is 39 bucks, and it's a favorite around here. Other than that, you might go with Magix Music Maker (also very inexpensive) that is more of a loop-based program (I believe it also allows you to record vocals).

Keep in mind though, without a good mic, mic preamp and a good sound card, it's still gonna sound like a demo.
