soundcard, harddrive

I have about 350$ to play with... and i think im going to buy an soundcard called "ESI waveterminal 192L" for my future homestudio... what do you guys say about this choice?
whats good whats bad?

the sound card costs 250$ so i have 100$ left...

now i want a good harddrive... any suggestions for 100$ harddrives???

well anyway hope to get some responces... =)

get a Maxtor Diamond Max 7200 rpm drive, the biggest that $100 will get you.....

ill check that one out... is it the RPM that is the most important... like the speed of the drive?

It's a 7200 RPM you're looking for, no doubt. The difference in speed between various 7200 drives is far less than the difference between a general 7200 drive and a general 5400 one. You'd kick yourself later on for being a cheapskate and buying a 5400 drive.
