So, I've been having a bit of a dilemma. I have been recording on my PC using a SB Audigy II and a Eurorack mixer. 'Nuff said. So I sold my iPod and am now looking into getting a firewire card. I had settled on a Firebox, but my local Craigslist has turned up some interesting results. An M-Audio 410 for $200, and a Firepod for $500, both more or less brand new. I guess the question is, is it worth the extra $100 for the features of the Firebox over the 410 (not to mention included software, Cubase LE vs Ableton Lite)?

OR, should I invest even more in the future and snag the unused Firepod for $100 off the list price?

I would love a Firepod but don't see myself being in a situation where I could effectively record more than a couple tracks in the near future.

What to do? What to do?

If you can, get the firepod. I have one and it's great, you won't regret it. It's better to have too much then not enough right?

Recording law: "You ALWAYS need at least twice the number of inputs/outputs you THINK you're going need."
