Soundblaster Live Platinum question

Hi all,

The headphone out on my live Drive won't work. I checked everything in the Launcher and that other weird Creative software, I've searsched the help files but I have no clue what the problem might be.

Anybody an idea?

If you checked everything ??? Mute is not checked is it ???
Then perhaps the port is bad. If you just want to monitor with phones, then maybe use the line out or speaker out port.

Wildfire: my headphone cable/plug is ok. There may be a slight chance that just the headphone itself would be brok, but I would defenitely wonder why! it has never been used!

Stealthtech, where is there a headphone mute? I don't find a headphone mute on the soundcard mixer, so maybe it's somewhere hidden?

I had the same problem and felt kinda foolish when I figured it out. I tried everything too till I finally looked at the connection where you plug the headphones in. There is a volume control there that works real good! Try turning it up. I hope that helps...

Thx for reminding me about the volume know, but I turned it on

I just thought there was a stupid software thing that was holding me bax. Like when I bought it, the Aux 2 wouldn't work. I searched for hours, finally finding a stupid 'enable aux 2 button' in the surround mixer software (a small button that was completely hidden behind a small red cross).

I'm beginning to think the whole headphone plug is broke. Damn that Ceative crap!

hey, you can install the english software on the soundblaster CD
there is something wrong with the Dutch version
