When it comes to CD Mastering...is there anything WaveLab can do that Sound Forge cannot?

Thanks.

Considering that neither are actually considered "mastering" tools, probably not....

Mmmmmm?

I know lots of ME's that use Wavelab for Mastering as a tool.

I don't know any ME's using Sound Forge.

I know a few that use CD Architect.

I used to use SF 5.0 , and I switched to Wavelab 4.0 because its a better editing tool. Montage is great.

The disclaimer is that having an airplane doesn't make you a pilot. :)

Actually - I forgot the :D :D ...

Actually,

I have both Sound Forge and Wavelab... and I think Sound Forge sounds better using the same plug-ins processing the same file (without edits).

I really don't know why this is... it just is... ???

One thing I do notice is that Sound Forge takes slightly longer to render the audio... (using the same plug's and system of course)

Perhaps Sound Forge has slightly better processing algorithms for audio... may explain why processing the same plugins with the same file take slightly longer on the same system...

hmmm?

I still use Wavelab to burn after I process in Sound Forge.

Heh heh, I hear the higher the post count, the less smilies you have left in your quota. At 10K your not allowed smilies at all. :) :) :) :) :) :) ;)

I got at least 3 bahzillion smilies left in me :)
