Sound Forge Skips

Currently recording some voice and sound forge seems to be skipping in the recording process....not just playback.

I am using a Sound Blaster Audigy card, A behringer microphone

Does this sound like a RAM problem? I have 128mb ram and a 2.1 gig processor....

I doubt its RAM - at least not lack of RAM. Most likely cause I would think would be the device driver for the Audigy, or the card itself.

Might want to (1) adjust your latency, and (2) make sure competing processes are turned off (virus scanners, etc. - pretty much anything in your system tray). 128mb is pretty skimpy - didn't know you could get a 2.1 ghz with that little...
