Sound Explosions

Hi,

Any of you been keeping an eye on the digidesign forum (www.digidesign.com/conf , digi001 room) about these random playback sound explosions that seem to be frustrating TOO many users. It is happening to both PC and MAC users with and without plug-ins, on all sorts of hardware. I was just about to order a Digi001. I am now considering an Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 unless I see the problem resolved soon.

Has anyone been using a Digi001 without a sniff of this problem?

Anyone with firsthand experience of the Aardvark?

I hear I probably have a month until Windows PTLE5 ships in any case.

But I want it now And explosion free

I know people who use Digi001 without problem with Mac.
For new card, see EGO Systems with Wami Rack 24, it's good deal too.
