Sound cards with easy access, up-front ports.

Looking for some suggestions on sound cards that have ports that mount in front on my PC case for easy access - like next to my CD drive.

Terratec and the Audigy Platinum ex as such front ends. Any others?

Tons dude. Almost everything in the mid and upper prosumer level will have breakout boxes. Few actually mount in a computer case, but most are either rack mountable or can sit on the desktop. What you need to be most concerned with, though, is sound quality.

I've posted a list of the big name soundcard manufacturers several times recently...I didn't save it though...if you search around maybe you can find it...there are at leats 8 or 10. A few off the top of my head:
