'sound attenuating' fiberglass batts?

Anyone have any experience with these? How much better are they than standard fiberglass batts? Owens Corning and Certainteed both carry a line, it looks close to the regular stuff price-wise. I saw a site where someone alleged it was exactly the same thing, packaged differently for marketing purposes.

That's basically correct. How you do the framing, how you do the drywall, and how much mass you put up will have a ton more effect. It's just fiberglass insulation. Might be a little more dense but won't make diddly difference in isolation.
