this is stupid for me to ask but what plugin format(s) does cool edit except

Uh...that guy gave some misinformation. Cool Edit accepts Direct X. It'll work with VST, but you have get a wrapper first (a plugin which 'translates' VST for Cool - they're free downloads I think).

Actually, Adobe Audition 1.5 does have vst support...I guess this was a CEP question tho...

yeah ive still got cool edit pro 2.0....it works with driect x and i got a vst wrapper so its all good....and free btw (the plugins i mean)
