Sony ECM-220 Condenser

K so. What are we thinking of these? As I've said elsewhere, I got a lot of random gear from my fiancee's brother, including some really awesome crap, and some... crap. I can't find much on these mics though, so anyone have an opinion?

It's an old electret design, so I'd expect it to be noisy. It also has a stated frequency response that tops out at 10kHz, which makes it pretty much unsuitable for... um... anything.

I'd pay $5 for one as a PA mic. For recording... not impressed.

Yeah, it is noisy, and feels like crap. That's kinda what I gathered using it, but I wasn't sure. Thanks!
