i 'thought' i fucking saved some of my stuff to a seperate harddrive, but it turns out i fucked it up somehow. i created a folder for each song in a removeable harddrive, and thought i transferred everything over, but now when i go to re-open one up, the project window comes up, and all my tracks are there, but theres no audio or anything in each track. theyre just empty spaces. also, a little window pops up that lists every piece thats missing. i searched everything, but the files cant be found. what the fuck happened? and what did i do wrong so i dont do this again? how do i save a project and all its bullshit pieces into a seperate harddrive to retrieve later? im so pissed.

i mean i created folders for each song in my seperate harddrive, and copied what i thought was everything for each song into each folder. apparently, i did something very wrong.

I don't think you can copy and paste from one folder to another because you can't change the pointer within the program. What you need to do is open your project on the drive you have created it and then save it to another drive from within the program and I can't swear to it, it's just the way I think it operates.

im gonna try that with a dummy song.

what i dont understand is that after i first 'relocated' those few songs, i tried to re-load them just as a test, and it worked. now it doesnt. this blows.

okay nymorningstar, i found the way to do it like you described, and it worked. so now i think i know how to do it. i tried it on a few dummy songs and it seems to work fine. thanks for the tip. i wish i wasnt so computer dumb. im so pissed i could shit. thanks bro.
