Hi Folks,
Well it's that time again to buy another condenser microphone and I have narrowed my choices to two or three AKG models; their C 2000B, C 3000B or C 4000B. I tried the C 4000B model a while back and I really liked it. I'm looking for a smaller 1 inch capsule AKG that has a nice "sizzle" to its sound. My appliciations will be primarily electric guitar cabinet mic'ing and for acoustic guitar. That said, has anyone here seriously compared the C 2000B [or C 3000B] with the C 4000B in terms of how different and/or similar these AKGs are sonically? I would like more polar patterns at my disposal if possible, however, that isn't the main thing with my search here. I'm looking for that sizzling "rock n roll" PUNCH for this one! Many thanks in advance for any comments and help in this quest. I also want the one with the least self noise too.
Cheers,
PinkStrat
