Song names and use of markers for BR1600-CD

We've recorded 100 songs and now find we've made a basic error. We used "markers" to name and locate each one.
We now find we're out of markers and believe we can't record any more songs until we sort this out.
I know we can change marker numbers to marker names but don't think perhaps this is the way to go about it. I now realise we should have only used markers within a song. Instead we should have named each song, and not necessarily used markers at all.

The questions I now have to try and resolve are -
1) How do I use a song name to define the start of each song?
2) If I then delete all the current markers will that also delete the song names?
3) Once I've established the 100 names, each at the start of their respective song, how do I jump to one of them without having to laboriously scroll to it, one song at a time?

I've read and re-read the manual but this stuff seems to be so basic that the makers assume I will know and don't bother to explain it. They don't realise how much of a techno-dummy I am!

Can anyone help?

My incredible psychic powers are STILL not allowing me to guess what DAW, program, or machine you're using.

Boss BR1600CD

Chili and Rami are I think both trying to help me, so thank you, but I'm SO new to all this that I'm not sure I'm even replying correctly! If so, I do beg your pardon.

HOW do I save each song to a different file name on our BR1600CD? Sorry to be so ignorant. Quite good at music, not so good at machines

Perhaps you could direct me to the page in the manual (if you have such that is)?

It's all good, man. I was just teasing you because you didn't let us know what you're using. I'm not familiar with the BOSS machine you're using. But, hopefully others will come in and help you. It does sound like Chili had the right idea, though.

It's a steep learning curve for sure. Not sure how to use the BR1600. For sure there is a way to burn a wav file to a CD from a section of the song. Be sure to scour the manual. If you can transfer all the audio to your computer in wav format, you might be able to separate out the songs with a daw program like reaper.

Hopefully, someone with BR1600 experience can chime in to help. I'll edit the title to add include the BR1600 and get more attention.

Thank you Chili.
So far none of the songs have been transferred to CD, they're all still just in the BR1600. Now I'm getting really scared - if we lose all this lot, we've lost a lot of work!
